Met PGA Birdie Bash is a one-day fundraising event where Metropolitan Section PGA Professionals play 72 holes of golf in one day with the goal of making as many birdies as possible. Through each professional’s network, solicited donors make a financial pledge per birdie to help raise funds to benefit the Metropolitan Section PGA Foundation, and PlayYellow for Children’s Hospitals including Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Westchester and Cohens Children’s Hospital on Long Island.

Join us as we celebrate “Giving Back Through Golf”! We extend our appreciation for your support and commitment to “Giving Back Through Golf.” The Wall Street Charity Fund Pro-Am had twenty-two successful years and was rebranded as “The Augie” in 2017. This wonderful event benefits the Metropolitan Section PGA Foundation who is committed to promoting the goodwill and growth of the game by positively impacting the lives of junior golfers, veterans, and those who are underserved by the game.

The Jeff Brennan Memorial Golf Outing raises funds to support the Metropolitan Section PGA Foundation’s junior golf programs on Staten Island and the Amyloidosis Foundation paying tribute to Jeffery Brennan who passed away unexpectedly from amyloidosis, a rare illness that is estimated to effect less than 200,000 people in the U.S. population. Inspired by his legacy, Jeff’s family and friends organize the annual Jeff Brennan Memorial Golf Outing, which will host its 4th annual event on Monday, June 17, 2024 at South Shore Country Club.

New York Mets, All-Star Second Baseman, Jeff McNeil, and Emmy Award winner, Hank Azaria, are joining together to host a charity poker event to raise money for two very special causes at their inaugural Poker Showdown at CitiField on May 9th, 2024. McNeil’s charity of choice will be the Metropolitan PGA Foundation, and Azaria has chosen The Soul Focused Group. This spectacular evening will include poker, cocktails, dinner, golf, magic, and more as we come together to raise money for these two remarkable organizations. Hank and Jeff have invited their friends in the sports and entertainment industries to join us for this evening.

Many of our PGA Professional’s have created long standing individual fundraisers at their clubs and we encourage our members to cater fundraising programs that best fit to their members. The Foundation also has numerous online platforms that Professionals can use to support their fundraising efforts.
